Short description:
'This publication by Eduard Glaser (1855-1908) bears the same title as chapter VII (pp. 745-748) of the first volume of Carlo Landberg's monumental study 'Études sur les dialectes de l'Arabie méridionale' ('Studies of the Dialects of South Arabia') which consists of four volumes. The first volume of this work published in 1901 covers the dialect of Ḥaḍramawt.
Glaser starts his short treatise on the use of the prefix ب (bā) in the imperfect form of verbs in various Arabic dialects with a reference to the positive review of vol. 1 which was published in the supplement no. 103 (06.05.1901) of the newspaper 'Allgemeine Zeitung'.
