Dr. Eduard Glaser'
Short description:
This manuscript by Eduard Glaser (1855-1908) was published under the title 'Zwei Publikationen über Ophir' in the 'Allgemeine Zeitung'. It contains a review of the books 1) 'The Gold of Ophir. Whence Brought and by Whom? by Prof. Augustus Henry Keane (1833–1912) & 2) 'Im Goldland des Altertums. Forschungen zwischen Zambesi und Sabi' by Dr. Carl Peters (1856-1918) which was released in three parts. This (final) part deals with the occurrence of the name 'Ophir' in ancient works and the etymology of 'Africa'.
