'Lieber Josef! Soeben Nachricht erhalten, dass in London alles in bester Ordnung ist, was ich dir gleichfalls mittheile. Meinen Brief von gestern hast du wol erhalten (mit Beilagen für Prof. Derenbourg). Dein Eduard'
Short description:
Eduard Glaser (1855-1908) informs Josef Reimann, brother-in-law and business partner of his elder brother Alois (1853-1931) that 'everything is fine with London', i.e. that the sale of his collection of Arabic manuscripts, which he had assembled during his third journey to Yemen (October 1887 - September 1888), to the 'British Museum Library' had gone well.
He also inquires whether his last letter with enclosures for Prof. Hartwig Derenbourg (1844-1908), co-editor of inscriptions within the framework of the 'Corpus inscriptionum semiticarum' (CIS), has already been delivered.
