The first line of this postcard reads: 'L. Br!' (abbreviated for: Lieber Bruder! --> Dear brother!) In aller Eile nur die Mittheilung, dass der II. Band meines Buches diese Woche fertig werden dürfte.
Ich habe bei meinem Berliner Verleger beantragt, dass der Band sofort ausgegeben werde. Geschieht das, dann komme ich vielleicht in 14 Tagen auf 3-4 Tage nach Saaz, obzwar ich noch sehr viel zu thun habe. Wie geht es Schägerin Marie? Ist sie schon auf's Land?
Wenn nicht, dann würde ich glauben, dass es höchste Zeit ist, zumal doch jetzt das Wetter so günstig ist. Von Siegm. habe ich gute Nachrichten. Grüsze mir alle Dein Eduard'

Eduard Glaser (1855-1908) informs his brother Alois (1853-1931) that he will finish work on his book 'Skizze der Geschichte und Geographie Arabiens von den ältesten Zeiten bis zum Propheten Muhammad. Ausschließlich nach inschriftlichen Quellen. Nebst einem Anhang zur Beleuchtung der Geschichte Abessiniens im 3. und 4. Jh. nach Chr. Auf Grund der Inschriften, der Angaben der alten Autoren und der Bibel' (vol 2).
As soon as his book is released by his Berlin publisher, he intends to come to Saaz for 3-4 days ...
