'Geehrter Herr! Die Vollversammlung unserer Gesellschaft vom 17. d.hat Ihrem Bruder, Herrn Dr. Eduard Glaser dzt. in Ṣan'ā (Arabien) eine weitere Unterstützung von 5000 Fl. unter folgenden Modalitäten bewilligt. 1) Herr Dr. Glaser erhällt aus den Mitteln der Ges. sofort zur weiteren Fortsetzung seiner Arbeiten für dieses Jahr die Summe von 3000 Fl.
2) Herr Dr. Gl. erhält aus den Mitteln der Gesellschaft in den ersten Monaten des nächsten Jahres 1894 weitere 2000 Fl. Die Gesellschaft knpüft daran folgende Bedingungen:
1) Das vollständige Sammlungsmaterial, ... kommt zunächst nach Oesterreich. 2) Jener Teil der Sammlungen, welche Herr Dr. Glaser zu verkaufen gedenkt, ist zunächst der oesterreichischen Regierung .... anzubieten.
Ich ersuche Sie nun die Uebermittelung dieses Schreibens und des Geldetrages von 3000 Fl. an Ihren Bruder zu übernehmen. ... In vorzüglicher Hochachtung für die Gesellschaft zur Förderung deutscher Wissenschaft, Kunst und Literatur in Böhmen der Vorsitzende Knoll' Knoll'
Short description:
Philipp Knoll (1841-1900), Chairman of the Society for the Promotion of German Science, Art and Literature in Bohemia, informs Eduard Glaser's elder brother Alois (1853-1931) about the approval of a further grant of 5,000 Fl which shall be released in two instalments.
He also informs him about the conditions ruling the sale of Eduard Glaser's collections originating from his fourth trip to Yemen (January 1892 - March 1894).
