'Sehr geehrter Herr!
Short description:
August Wilmanns (1833-1917), Director General of the Königliche Bibliothek (Royal Library) in Berlin, informs Eduard Glaser (1855-1908) that he is unfortunately not in a position to increase the offer of 9,000 marks to 13,200 marks for the 83 Arabic manuscripts selected by the Royal Library.
Wilmanns confirms to uphold the offer until the end of August of 1889, provided that Eduard Glaser agrees that half of the amount offered will be paid to him immediately after the delivery of the 83 selected manuscripts, whereas the other half will be paid without interest at the beginning of the following financial year.
