'Verehrter Herr von Glaser! In Beantwortung Ihres geschätzten Schreibens vom 19/II, welches ich gestern erhalten habe, kann ich mich nur mit den darin entwickelten Ideen einverstanden erklären.
Was jedoch den Ausgangspunkt der etwaigen Expedition von Makalla aus anbetrifft, so glaube ich, dass der Weg Djiddah - Taïff etc. nach Nedjd der beste wäre. Ich habe nämlich einen Bericht vom Vice-Consulat von Djiddah bekommen, worin wörtlich steht: 'Nach Nedjd vorzudringen ist ziemlich leicht...'
... Wir könnten uns z.B. im Oktober in Djiddah treffen u. dann gemeinsam die Reise machen! Ich hoffe, dass sich Ihre Gesundheit bessert. Glauben Sie, dass die Expedition gesundheitsgefährlich wäre? Ihr erg. Graf Logothetti'
