'Euer Wohlgeboren. Heute habe ich in den Zeitungen gelesen, dass Sie beabsichtigen eine Forschungsreise nach Arabien zu machen. Da auch ich grosses Verlangen habe diese Länder kennen zu lernen, so bitte ich Sie so freundlich zu sein, mir mitzutheilen, ob es möglich ist, auf meine Kosten die Reise mitzumachen.
