'Verehrter Herr! Gleichzeitig mit diesen Zeilen werden Sie einen ersten, noch unkorrigierten und ungesäuberten Abdruck der Karte von Ihres Herrn Bruders Reisen in Jemen erhalten. Da die Lithographie der Berge noch nicht abgeschlossen ist, aber nur höchstens 5 Tage in Anspruch nehmen dürfte, so wäre ich Ihnen zu Dank verpflichtet für möglichst rasche Durchsicht des Abdrucks.
Von zweifelhaften Punkten erwähne ich nur die drei arabischen Namen dir roth unter der Legende der Transcriptionsweise eingetragen wurden und wohl der Berichtigung bedürften, weil das Original nicht sehr deutlich und ich der arab. Sprache unkundig bin.

Bruno Hassenstein (1839-1902), German cartographer and editor of maps published by the journal 'Dr. A. Petermann's Mitteilungen aus Justus Perthes' Geographischer Anstalt', asks Eduard Glaser's younger brother Sigmund (1857-1913) to proof-read a map depicting an area of Yemen which Eduard Glaser had visited during his first journey (1882 to 1884).
