GLASER, Eduard, geb. 15. März 1855 in Deutsch-Rust (Bez. Podersam).
Short description:
This note to the file by the geologist and mineralogist Oskar Lenz (1848-1925) contains an assessment of Eduard Glaser's scientific capacity in connection with Glaser's grant application for his fourth journey to Yemen.
Lenz addresses Glaser's disputes with peers in connection with the dating of Minean inscriptions, but concludes his appraisal stating that 'GLASER has earned great merit by acquiring an unusually large amount of valuable historical monuments'.
