CONFIDENTIELL 'Hochgeehrter Herr Professor! Lediglich zur weiteren Orientierung erlaube ich mir folgende Auszüge aus Briefen über mein letztes Buch ergebenst vorzulegen:
Ein englischer Gelehrter ersten Ranges schreibt: 'You have discovered a new world and opened to us a new civilisation....' Generallieutenant Baratieri, der Gouverneur der Colonia Eritrea, dem ich ein Exemplar meines Buches zusandte, ..., schreibt mir aus Adua 24. Okt. 1895:
'La ringrazio molto pel suo libro interessantissimo e per la sua lettera...' dann theilt er mit, dass er einige alte Münzen gefunden und Auftrag gegeben habe, andere Inschriften zu suchen. ...
Zum Schlusz heiszt es: 'Ella potrebe fare un viaggio in Etiopia e da Adulis ad Azam potrebbe raccogliere preziose indicazioni circa la storia de queste contrade...' ... Verehrungsvoll ergebenst E. Glaser'
