'Hochgehrter Herr Vorsitzender! Ich befinde mich heute leider in der unangenehmen Lage, Ihnen melden zu müssen, dass meine Abreise von Sana infolge stattgehabter Plünderung meiner seit 26. November unterwegs befindlichen Kisten verzögert und nunmehr bis zur Schlichtung der Angelegenheit aufgehoben wurde.
Nach den letzten aus Aden eingelangten Nachrichten fehlen zwei grosze Koffer, welche, weisz ich noch nicht. ...
Hoffentlich wird die Intervention unserer Botschaft nicht nöthig sein, da ich mit dem hiesigen Generalgouverneur gut stehe. Sobald ich mittheilenswerte Nachrichten habe, schreibe ich Ihnen wieder. Mit ausgezeichneter Hochachtung Eu. Hochwolgeboren verehrungsvollst ergebener E. Glaser'
Short description:
Eduard Glaser (1855-1908) informs the Chairman of the 'Society for the Promotion of German Science, Art and Literature in Bohemia' Philipp Knoll (1841-1900) that he is forced to postpone his departure from Ṣanʿāʾ because two of his pieces of luggage are reported to have been looted.
