'Hochgehrter Herr Professor! Soeben erhalte ich Ihr geschätztes Schreiben vom 25. Oktober l.J. u. seitens meines Bruders Alois gleichfalls die Mittheilung, dass die Ausbezahlung der restlichen 2000 fl. bereits erfolgt sei. Ich beeile mich, der Gesellschaft hierfür meinen ergebensten Dank auszudrücken.
Wenn nichts dazwischen kommt, dürfte ich Ṣanʿâ in der zweiten Hälfte des Dezember verlassen können. ... Einstweilen kann ich versichern, dass ich allen Grund habe, mit dem bisher Erreichten zufrieden zu sein, wenn auch nicht alles nach Wunsch ginng. (sic) ...
