Von der mit Unterst�tzung der 'Gesellschaft' unternommenen wissenschaftlichen Expedition des Dr. E. Glaser in Arabien ist vom 12. Februar 1893 ein an den Pr�sidenten unserer Gesellschaft Herrn Prof. Dr. Knoll gerichtetes ausf�hrliches Schreiben aus San'� eingegangen, in welchem �ber die bisherige Th�tigkeit des genannten Forschers berichtet wird.
Ebenso liegt ein Privatschreiben desselben an Herr Prof. Dr. Gr�nert vor. ... Gleichzeitig schreibt nun aber auch Herr Dr. Glaser, da� die ihm zur Verf�gung stehende Summe ... so ziemlich aufgebraucht ist, und bittet deshalb, ihm zur Fortf�hrung der so gl�cklich begonnenen Arbeiten noch weitere 5000 fl. bewilligen ... zu wollen....
Short description:
This file bears information on correspondence by Eduard Glaser (1855-1908) to Philipp Knoll (1841-1900), Chairman of the 'Society for the Promotion of German Science, Art and Literature in Bohemia' and sets out the conditions for the further processing of Glaser's collections upon his return from Arabia:
1) entire collection has to be brought to Austria 2) items which Eduard Glaser intends to sell shall be offered first to the Austrian government / to patrons of the arts 3) potential buyers should be given sufficient time for fundraising 4) visibility: publications have to bear the note 'supported by the Society for the Promotion of German Science, Art and Literature in Bohemia'
