note written by Alois Glaser (1853-1931) referring to an obituary by Dr. Max Grünert (1849-1929), Professor of Semitic languages and literatures in Prague, published in 'Monatsschrift für das geistige Leben der Deutschen in Böhmen' and commissioned by the 'Society for the Promotion of German Science, Art and Literature in Bohemia'
Reference is made to Eduard Glaser's third trip to Yemen, specifically his memorable visit to Mārib (17.03.-24.04.1888), his copying of 391 inscriptions and the availability of his finds in Vienna, Paris, Berlin, London, Munich, Prague and Constantinople.
