Short description:
The article contains a book review of Eduard Glasers work 'Skizze der Geschichte und Geographie Arabiens von den ältesten Zeiten bis zum Propheten Muhammad'.
According to the author, the review is taken from the British newspaper 'The Manchester Examiner and Times' (21.07.1890).
While pointing out that the book is based on the author's personal knowledge of Arabia as well as a careful study of the relevant biblical passages, the reviewer regrets that the presentation of the material and the style are less engaging, 'which is to be expected considering that most of the voluminous work was written in two months'.
