'Lieber Freund! Am 4ten haben wir unseren lieben einzigen Sohn begraben. Er ist an einem bösartigen Gesichtsleiden in der hiesigen Klinik operirt u. bald darauf gestorben. Der Staatsanwaltschaft in Berlin hat er nur kurze Zeit angehören können.
Im Elternhause suchte er Erholung u. hat sie nun gründlich gefunden. Möge diese kurze Mittheilung Ihnen genügen! Ihrer Theilnahme an unserem tiefsten Schmerz bin ich gewiß. Ihr W. Ahlwardt.'
