Helmut Satzinger, Egyptologist, reports on Eduard Glaser's contribution to the 'Egyptian and Near Eastern Collection' of the Kunsthistorisches Museum (KHM) in Vienna and provides an outline of the explorer's life and work.
The collection of almost 660 objects from South Arabia which Eduard Glaser (1855-1908) brought back from his fourth journey to Yemen (January 1892 - March 1894) formed the nucleus of the Near Eastern Collection at the KHM.
