This short article is about the results of Eduard Glaser's fourth journey to Yemen (January 1892 - March 1894) which was supported by the
- 'Gesellschaft zur Förderung deutscher Wissenschaft, Kunst und Literatur in Böhmen' (Society for the Promotion of German Science, Art and Literature in Bohemia)
with a grant of 8000 florins.
Despite difficult working conditions (renewal of uprisings against the Ottoman rule), the explorer succeeded in collecting 'no less than 800 inscriptions' and acquiring approx. 250 Arabic manuscripts.
