This article deals with Eduard Glaser's life and works and provides an insight into the explorer's struggle for recognition by his peers.
pp. 65 contains information on ancient South Arabian inscriptions, artefacts and coins collected by Eduard Glaser during his fourth journey to Yemen (January 1892 - spring 1894) which were acquired by the 'Kunsthistorisches Museum'.
As far as Glaser's collection of coins is concerned, a large part of it (Sem. 284-337, 341- 510) was eliminated due to its poor condition and the impossibility to apply conservation techniques.
