At his death, on May 7th, 1908, Eduard Glaser had left behind a manuscript entitled 'Eduard Glaser - highlights and attempts at an interpretation of edited and unedited ancient Yemeni inscriptions. Methodless criticism of uncritical method'.
This manuscript, together with Glaser's entire scientific estate, became the property of the then Imperial-Royal Academy of Sciences in Vienna. The manuscript's publication was entrusted by the Academy to Otto Weber (1877-1928), director of the 'Vorderasiatisches Museum' (Museum of the Ancient Near East) which is part of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.
The following inscriptions are dealt with in this work: GL 1405, GL 612, HAL 485, GL 1083, GL 424, GL 1549 & GL 1076 = Die Vertragsinschrift ʿAlhān Nahfān's
