Eduard Glaser's study on Arabic pronunciation is based on his knowledge of various Arabic varieties which he acquired during his almost 4-year stay in Arabic speaking countries (Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen...). (p. 2)
Eduard Glaser reports, among other things, that the Jews living in Tunisia 'are distinguished by one of the worst pronunciations of Arabic'; they pronounce the letter 'ḏ' as 'd' while the letter 'ṯ' is 'realised as a simple t'. (p. 6)
Furthermore, Eduard Glaser discusses the pronunciation of the letter 'qāf' whose realisation as 'g' is a distinctive feature of the Bedouins throughout Arabia. (p. 7)
