Based on Eduard Glaser's manuscript 'Geographische Forschungen im Jemen' (which draws on 284 pages written in shorthand & 40 map sketches), geographer Josef Werdecker (1907-1979) processed the results of Glaser's first journey to Yemen (1882-1884).
The present volume includes 8 numbered plates and 2 large folding maps of North-West Yemen drawn up by Eduard Glaser and processed by Josef Werdecker in two versions - English and Arabic - at a scale of 1:200,000.
