In 1886, the then 'K�nigliche Museen in Berlin' (Royal Museums in Berlin) acquired the antiquities Eduard Glaser had brought with him from his second journey to Yemen (April 1885-February 1886). Upon request of the Royal Museums, the Austrian scholar David Heinrich M�ller (1846-1912) published Eduard Glaser's finds which led to an extremely sharp reaction on the part of Glaser, as he had expressed his wish to have the material published by German scholars.
Hence, in addition to a description of Glaser monuments sold to the Royal Museums - GL 302 (p. 1) & GL 262 (p. 75), this handwritten work contains a lot of polemics against D.H. M�ller who had actually encouraged Glaser to devote himself to the study of ancient South Arabia (comp. 'Vorrede' - p. I).
Further criticism by Eduard Glaser (pp. 89-102) concerns M�ller's rebuttal to Glaser's corrections on M�ller's edition of al-Hamdānī's Geography of the Arabian Peninsula ('Ṣifat Ǧazīrat al-ʿArab').
