In this article, the Austrian professor of Semitic languages David Heinrich Müller (1846-1912) refers to Fritz Hommel's publication 'Eduard Glasers historische Ergebnisse aus seinen südarabischen Inschriften'.
He objects Fritz Hommel's view based on Eduard Glaser's theory according to which the beginnings of the Minaean kingdom should be dated back in the second millennium BCE.
Moreover, Müller reproaches Fritz Hommel and Eduard Glaser of lacking scientific diligence with regard to the interpretation of inscriptions providing information on the Liḥyānites - an accusation that both scholars will not allow to stand...
