Alessandra Lombardi's study is devoted to a group of artefacts in the British Museum collection that comprise some of the most fascinating and significant ancient South Arabian finds preserved in Europe.
6 of the stelae held by the British Museum were purchased from Eduard Glaser in 1887; these artefacts involve not only stelae where only eyes appear but also stelae with human faces in high relief.
