The present article is about the Zaydī Imāms dealt with in Arabic manuscripts held by the 'Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin - Preußischer Kulturbesitz' (Berlin State Library - Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation).
The author provides information on the acquisition of the Yemeni manuscripts from Eduard Glaser (1855-1908) as well as on the political situation in Yemen at the time of Eduard Glaser's research sojourns.
The Glaser collection contains a large number of Zaydī manuscripts (65 out of 240 volumes - p. 167), including works written by the Imāms themselves.
