This article covers the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Geographical Society in Munich held on April 17th, 1894, in the presence of the Prince Regent Ludwig of Bavaria and Prime Minister Freiherr von Crailsheim in the hotel 'Vier Jahreszeiten' (Four Seasons).
Within the framework of this event, Eduard Glaser (1855-1908) gave a lecture on his fourth journey to Yemen (January 1892 - March 1894), funded by the 'Gesellschaft zur Förderung deutscher Wissenschaft, Kunst und Literatur in Böhmen' (Society for the Promotion of German Science, Art and Literature in Bohemia), during which he was able to collect approx. 800 new inscriptions, i.e. more than during any of his three previous trips.
