Referring to an article about his discoveries in Southeast Africa published in an earlier issue of the 'Vossische Zeitung' (02.11.1901), the German explorer Carl Peters (1856-1918) provides some clarifications by pointing to Eduard Glaser's work 'Punt und die südarabischen Reiche'.
In this treatise, Eduard Glaser (1855-1908) attempts to prove that Socotra and Mashonaland, according to the ruins found there, belonged to the realm of Punt.
