This article refers to an announcement published in the official journal 'Wiener Zeitung' in the name of the Austrian Emperor, according to which 'Dr Eduard Glaser is entitled to accept and wear the medal of the Imperial Order of Osmanieh, Third Class.'
The Order of Osmanieh or Order of Osmaniye (Ottoman Turkish: نشانِ عثمانیہ) was a civil and military decoration of the Ottoman Empire. The order was created in January 1862 by Sultan Abdülaziz and became the second highest order in the Empire. It was awarded by the Sultan for outstanding services to the state.
