This newspaper article deals with the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the 'Geographical Society of Munich' held on April 17th, 1894, in the presence of the Prince Regent Ludwig of Bavaria and Prime Minister Freiherr von Crailsheim in the hotel 'Vier Jahreszeiten' (Four Seasons).
During this event, Eduard Glaser (1855-1908) was elected an honorary member of the Society and asked to give a lecture on his fourth journey to Yemen (January 1892 - March 1894), 'of which he is known to have brought back a large quantity of inscriptions (about 800), a large number of Arabic manuscripts, ...'
