This short article deals with the results of Eduard Glaser's fourth journey to Yemen (January 1892 - March 1894) which yielded
- 800 newly discovered inscriptions
- 200 Arabic manuscripts &
- 'a number'of small but interesting Arabic
monuments'.
This achievement was possible owing to the services of Bedouins, whom Eduard Glaser 'sent in search for inscriptions in regions which were either inaccessible to Europeans or could only be entered at great risk to their lives'.
