In this study, Peter Rohrbacher deals with the use of the term 'Hamitic' made by various authors who have written about Africa. In discussing the uncertain etymology of 'Ham', the author also mentions the interpretation of Eduard Glaser (1855-1908), who identifies 'Ham' with 'Amu', a people referred to in Egyptian inscriptions (cf. p. 17)
In this context, Rohrbacher also provides an insight into Eduard Glaser's theories of the Land of Punt and Ophir. (pp. 252-254)
Works by Eduard Glaser referred to in this publication include: - 'Jehowah-Jovis und die drei Söhne Noah's' - 'Punt und die südarabischen Reiche' - 'Zwei Publikationen über Ophir'
