This article deals with the award of an honorary doctorate to Eduard Glaser (1855-1908) by the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Greifswald.
In the diploma, Glaser is referred to as 'Pervestigator Arabiae Felicis felicissimus' ('the extraordinarily successful researcher of Arabia Felix'), and his research is praised in the highest terms.
