'L. Br.' (abbreviated for: Dear brother!) Hiermit sende dir 6300, sage sechs tausend dreihundert Mark ein zum Zweck der Pression auf Herrschmann. Sobald dieser Zweck erreicht ist, gibst du Karl 2000 fl von diesem Gelde, damit er Geschäfte machen kann. Lässt er es jedoch bei dir, so ist dies auch recht. Jedenfalls möchte ich dass 2000 fl. Karl zur Verfügung bleiben.
Lass dir von Karl meinen heute an ihn gerichteten Brief zeigen, dasmit du wissest, was ich wünsche u. damit du verstehst, wie es mit mir steht. ... Dir gegenüber möchte ich nur noch betonen, dass du mein Geld nur für dein Geschäft verwenden darfst, weil ich jeden Augenblick in die Lage kommen kann, es wieder zu brauchen.
