'Lieber Bruder! Ich habe heute an deine Adresse den 2. Band meines Buches abgeschickt. Sobald das Buch ankommt, lese du und Karl o. wen immer es interessirt, lasst es aber nicht beschmutzen und schreibt nichts hinein, weil es möglich ist, dass ich das Buch nach Jahren einmal für jemand brauchen könnte.
Das Buch kostet 18 Mark und ich hatte im Ganzen nur 12 Freiexemplare, von denen ich ganze 3 für die Familie zurückbehalten habe (1 bei mir, 1 bei euch, 1 bei Siegmund). Alle anderen habe ich an Gelehrte vertheilt u. an Gesellschaften.
Von Schwägerin Marie hatte ich gute Nachrichten. Warum schreibst du mir so wenig? Dein Eduard'

Eduard Glaser (1855-1908) announces the dispatch of his book 'Skizze der Geschichte und Geographie Arabiens von den ältesten Zeiten bis zum Propheten Muhammad. Ausschließlich nach inschriftlichen Quellen. Nebst einem Anhang zur Beleuchtung der Geschichte Abessiniens im 3. und 4. Jh. nach Chr. Auf Grund der Inschriften, der Angaben der alten Autoren und der Bibel (vol 2)' to his elder brother Alois (1853-1931).
