This article covers an essay by Fritz Hommel (1854-1936), Professor of Semitic languages at the University of Munich, published on October 20th, 1889, in the supplement no. 291 of the newspaper 'Allgemeine Zeitung' in which the German scholar praises the contribution of Eduard Glaser (1855-1908) to the exploration of Ancient South Arabia.
