Provenance: The Eduard Glaser Collection, consisting of offprints, correspondence and manuscript material by Eduard Glaser (1855-1908), was sold to Dropsie by Eduard Glaser's youngest brother Sigmund Glaser (1857-1913).
The institutional records and library collections of Dropsie College are now part of the collections of the Herbert D. Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies, which is part of the University of Pennsylvania's library system.

'Zur Klarstellung. Seite 543 ff dieser Zeitschrift veröffentlichte Herr Dr. Martin Hartmann, ehemals Dolmetscher in Bairût, jetzt Lehrer des Vulgärarabischen am Orientalischen Seminar in Berlin, einen Artikel über den 2. Band meiner 'Skizze der Geschichte und Geographie Arabiens.'
... Wenn aber Hartmann am Schlusze seines Pamphlets mich über meine Pflichten belehren zu sollen glaubt, so möchte ich ihm in seinen Interesse empfehlen, sich dessen bewuszt zu bleiben, dass er Lehrer des Vulgärarabischen am Seminar ist und als solcher eine ersprieszlichere Aufgabe zu erfüllen hat als sich um Dinge zu kümmern, von denen er leider nichts versteht.
