This publication contains an inventory of inscriptions, antiquities and coins collected by Eduard Glaser during his fourth journey to Yemen (January 1892 - March 1894) which were purchased by the then 'Wiener Hofmuseum' (Imperial Court Museum) - today's 'Kunsthistorisches Museum'.
After Eduard Glaser had refrained from publishing his collection (see introduction to 'Die Abessinier in Arabien und Afrika' by Eduard Glaser p. V, 1895), the Austrian professor of Semitic languages David Heinrich M�ller (1846-1912) was commissioned in 1895 by the emperor's Lord Chamberlain, Count Ferdinand zu Trauttmannsdorff with the publication of the Glaser Collection acquired by the 'Wiener Hofmuseum'.
An important section (written by the Austrian numismatist Wilhelm Kubitschek pp. 65-79) deals with the coins available at the today's 'M�nzkabinett' (Coin/Numismatic Cabinet) in Vienna. According to Alfred Janata, a large part of the collection was eliminated due to the poor condition of the coins.
