The article contains a book review of Eduard Glasers work 'Skizze der Geschichte und Geographie Arabiens von den ältesten Zeiten bis zum Propheten Muhammad' which, according to the author, is taken from the British newspaper 'The Manchester Examiner and Times' (21.07.1890).
While pointing out that the book is based on Eduard Glaser's personal knowledge of Arabia as well as a careful study of the relevant texts in the Bible, the reviewer regrets that the presentation of the material and the style are less captivating, 'which is to be expected, considering that most of the voluminous work was written in two months'.
