From 1893 until 1897, the British explorer and archaeologist J. Theodore Bent (1852-1897) and his wife Mabel engaged in archaeological research of the Arabian peninsula, where the explorer mapped the Hadramawt region.
In this article, which includes a fold-out colour map, Theodore Bent mentions Eduard Glaser's excursions to Ṣanʿāʾ and Mārib and quotes from Glaser's work
