From 1893 until 1897, the British explorer and archaeologist J. Theodore Bent (1852-1897) and his wife Mabel engaged in archaeological research of the Arabian peninsula, where the explorer mapped the Hadramawt region.
In this article, which includes a fold-out colour map, Theodore Bent mentions Eduard Glaser's excursions to Ṣanʿāʾ and Mārib and quotes from Glaser's work 'Skizze der Geschichte und Geographie Arabiens von den ältesten Zeiten bis zum Propheten Muhammad' (p. 180).
