Gerald Brisch sheds light on the background to the correspondence between Eduard Glaser (1855-1908) and the British explorer and archaeologist James Theodore Bent (1852-1897).
The two scholars exchanged letters at a time when Glaser was on his fourth trip to Yemen (1892-1894).
